BLOEMGRACHT
Smart space-saving solutions and bespoke furniture form a welcoming home away from home
Year: 2019
Size: 50 m2
Program: bed & breakfast, short stay
HOP was asked to design the first location of this new bed & breakfast concept which just opened its first four beds on the corner of the picturesque Bloemgracht and the Derde Leliedwarsstraat.
The natural wooden beams of this national monument built the 18th century form the backbone under which bespoke contemporary furniture was placed to create a welcoming home away from home for both tourists, expats and locals looking for a special inner-city stay.
Both the interior design as well as the styling was carefully designed by HOP where each room is organized around the centrally placed bespoke bed with integrated table perfect for a quick bite before heading into the city centre.
The curved edges of the different furniture pieces allow the space to flow around them freely which makes these compact apartments feel spacious and comfortable. Together with the carefully selected accessoires, the bamboo blinds and the natural materials that are used throughout, these four beds in the heart of the city offer everyone a warm welcome.
